ARATTUPUZHA TEMPLE
According to legend, Arattupuzha Temple is believed to be around 3,000 years old. The famous and ancient annual divine congregation, Aarattupuzha Pooram — regarded as the oldest and most renowned gathering of deities — is held at this temple.
The main deity of the temple is Sri Dharmasastha. It is believed that the consecrated idol at Arattupuzha Temple embodies the divine spiritual presence of Sage Vasishta, who was the family preceptor and guru of Lord Rama and his brothers.
